i rhyme to see myself and set the darkness echoing.

dreamers lie in wait and squeeze through the cracks of clouds
to glimpse the sun, hanging low  yoyoing at dusk,
when trees begin to whisper and creak,
and lakes fill silently menaced and shimmer.

and beckoning words spill over and trickle to consciousness,
future stirs and warps our presents till dreams escape
the night time's hour glass keepers and stow away
in sun's moving channels. Creep softly to day.

i see dreamers with tears and journeys heavy,
Death will claw them to ground and plant them,
In heavy sods in mired troughs. Gun shots reverberate
To snatch past souls for company.

But our eyes remain upturned. Cover me with clouds
That a shard of heaven may one day shear. Until then
Tears and journeys weary and dreams stay anchored,
And echo in darkness until the sun peers in again.

i rhyme to see myself and set the darkness echoing

The greatest proof of Christianity for others is not how far a man can logically analyze his reasons for believing, but how far in practice he will stake his life on his belief
